Holland

I was reminded today of a piece I read a few years ago about parenting children with disabilities…Welcome to Holland. There are so many days when I feel like Holland is just too hard a place for me. Like I’ll never learn the customs or the language. I wonder if they have toilets in Holland. I wonder if people have two-way conversations in Holland. I wonder if other people in Holland ever feel sad or discouraged about the change in travel plans. Then I run across people like this who remind me that I’m not the only Mom in Holland. I’m not the only Mom who sometimes feels overwhelmed in Holland. And it’s true. Holland has tulips.
